Health & Safety

Health and Safety is an integral part of our daily business and we are actively committed to minimising the incidence of accidents by continuous development, monitoring and training.

Every business has legal responsibilities to ensure the health and safety of employees and other people affected by their business' activities, such as clients and suppliers.

But we realise that the right approach isn't just about doing the minimum required to comply with the legal requirements. We know that it benefits the business as effective health and safety practices pay for themselves. They also improve our reputation with clients, regulators and our own employees. Without this approach we would not have been presented with the prestigious awards for 'Regional Contractor of the Year 2008' and 'Best Places to Work in Construction 2008' by Contract Journal.

Health and safety is very important to us and therefore we directly employ a team dedicated to this; comprising of a full time Safety & Environmental Officer, Health & Safety managers, advisors and administrators all of whom are headed up by our Director of Health & Safety.

Our approach to managing health & safety issues is to get the right procedures and practices in place from the start and then monitor them regularly to ensure they're being carried out and are still appropriate. To maintain high standards, all managers and members of staff undergo regular health & safety courses and all of our operatives are CSCS accredited and in addition all of our plant operators are CPCS accredited.
