Hewlett Hails International Renewable Exhibition A Success
Leeds-based firm Hewlett Civil Engineering has hailed its appearance at an international renewable exhibition as a huge success.
The market leading, privately owned company exhibited their range of renewable services at the RenewableUK Annual Conference and Exhibition at Manchester’s Central Convention Complex last week (25-27 October).
Earlier this year Hewlett launched its new Renewables division which provides civil engineering and construction services to support developments in the UK’s renewables industry.
Hewlett’s Managing Director, Alan Cooper said: “We knew that we could offer clients a different and more practical approach to renewable solutions, and I was pleasantly surprised at the number of people who visited us at the exhibition and recognised how our approach can help them.
“We bring our years of experience in turnkey civil engineering projects to provide practical and effective solutions to renewable energy projects covering all aspects of site preparation and installation to tailored training and maintenance packages.”
Hewlett Renewables is already involved in a range of energy projects including a major scheme on behalf of SSE (Scottish and Southern Energy) which consists of modifications and improvements to existing roads at some 350 locations between Beauly, near Inverness and Denny near Falkirk. These modifications are needed to allow access for the construction of the new 400kV line which is a significant grid infrastructure upgrade.
Hewlett Renewables also has an alliance with Sykamore Ltd, a company dedicated to optimising small-wind generation projects through expert site design and turbine selection.
Working with established partners such as Hewlett, Sykamore offers a complete package for landowners wishing to reap the benefits of small-wind including a zero-capital option for those looking to lower their energy bills without having to invest.
Headquartered in Leeds, Hewlett also has offices in Perth, Scotland and a Midlands Regional office based in Leamington Spa. The Company is focused on training and has two purpose built training centres based at Cross Green in Leeds and i54 in Wolverhampton providing an extensive range of training programmes for both employer and employee, and covering a wide spectrum of disciplines from telescopic forklift training to safety and managerial courses.
