Hewlett reports successful first time at Small Wind Conference
An overwhelming success - was the verdict on this year's RenewableUK International Small Wind Conference in Gateshead, according to Managing Director of Hewlett Civil Engineering, Alan Cooper.
He commented, "This was the first time Hewlett attended and exhibited at the event and it gave us a chance to officially launch our Renewables Division. The exhibition has been an extremely positive event for us with a steady flow of traffic at our stand. The feedback on our services and association with Sykamore Ltd has been encouraging and it has been a great forum for meeting with our customers, competitors and suppliers.”
Organised by RenewableUK, the two-day conference and exhibition demonstrated the huge benefits of small wind systems and attracted more than 350 people, many of whom were speaking at the event, holding free seminars and exhibiting state-of-the-art turbines.
Hewlett Renewables is already involved in a range of renewable energy projects, from the construction of bases and access roads to a remote Western Scottish location for a new wind farm, to installing and modifying highways infrastructure for a major power line on behalf of Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission Limited (SHETL) and Southern Energy Power Distribution.
The business is also working in partnership with Sykamore Ltd, a company dedicated to optimising small-wind generation projects through expert site design and turbine selection. The alliance with Sykamore offers a complete package for landowners wishing to reap the benefits of small-wind including a zero-capital option for those looking to lower their energy bills without having to invest.
