Hewlett's Record Success with UVBD Verify Scheme
In order to continue to demonstrate the company's health and safety, environmental and quality capabilities Hewlett Civil Engineering has been audited by Verify, the assessment arm of Utilities Vendors Database UVDB.
Hewlett were first accredited by UVDB Verify in 2005 and at each reassessment their scores have improved. In the latest assessment they have reached record levels.
Says Alan Cooper, Managing Director at Hewlett: “Hewlett is a member of the UVDB Verify scheme, which is an essential requirement in pre-qualifying for projects in the utility sector. To maintain our accreditation, we are subject to annual detailed assessments of our management systems and site performance. This year’s scores not only show an excellent result but our commitment to continuous improvement.
“However, whilst these results are extremely encouraging we cannot afford to be complacent and we will continue to work hard to improve the scores with the hope of eventually achieving 100%.”
Hewlett’s scores are listed below:
Management System Evaluation Onsite Assessment
Health & Safety 92.8% 93.8%
Environment 89.5% 95.1%
Quality 92.4% 98.2%
The UVDB Verify audit and assessment service focuses on risk critical issues and provides demonstrable compliance to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements.
It provides independent assessment and benchmarking; credibility in the market place and industry specific assessments. All of which can lead to a significant reduction in the time and effort required to pre-qualify for contracts.
By registering on Verify, suppliers and contractors will gain a clear understanding of the industry’s requirements. The assessments generate detailed reports of the company’s capabilities that can be used both as an aid to sourcing for the Utilities but also as valuable guidance on improvements for the company being assessed
