New appointment to boost Scottish development for Hewlett.
Hewlett Civil Engineering has strengthened its team in Perth with the recent appointment of Lotus Aherne as Business Development Manager.
Lotus represents a key appointment by Hewlett in order to support the launch of its new office based at King James VI Business Centre in Perth and strategy to win more work north of the border.
With a wealth of knowledge and experience and a career spanning more than 15 years, Lotus, who previously held a senior position at I and H Brown Ltd, will develop new business opportunities in and around Scotland, for which her previous experience and contacts make her ideally suited.
“We are very pleased that Lotus has joined the team here at Hewlett. The depth and breadth of knowledge Lotus brings to the team will be a valuable contribution to our business,” commented Alan Cooper, Managing Director.

Lotus has also worked for Barr Construction for 6 years and has an HND in Administration & Accounts. She is originally from the island of Iona on the west coast of Scotland but has lived in Perth for over 10 years.
Hewlett has now started work installing and modifying highways infrastructure for a major powerline on behalf of Scottish and Southern Energy. The scheme consists of modifications to existing roads at some 350 locations between Beauly, near Inverness and Denny near Falkirk. These modifications are to provide access to the new 400KV line which is the most significant grid infrastructure in a decade.
