Company History
Hewlett was founded in 1987 - a typical start-up for a civil engineering contractor - a few men and a couple of JCBs!
Now with a directly employed workforce of over 350, our own training school and a non reliance on the hiring of external plant we are quite unique from most of our competitors.
Under the direction of John Duffy, the Hewlett Group is in the enviable position of programming work ahead for up to five years and the company is forecasting continued expansion. Headed by Managing Director Alan Cooper, Hewlett Civil Engineering has built lasting relationships when working with clients through adopting a partnership approach, resulting in client satisfaction and repeat business.
Since our incorporation, we realised that we would have to be different if we are to maintain our position - and we believe the support and experience available at our Thorpe Park head office, Central office and Cross Green facilities are unrivalled amongst our peers across the UK.
From small beginnings in a tiny Leeds office with just a handful of staff, The Hewlett Group has achieved much in the last 21 or so years; the next 21 promises even more.
